Default Can't Decide between these two cabinet humidors!

    Hello BOTL's,
Need some help, I am torn between the following two Humi's, any one that owns either of them please chime in with likes or dislikes!!
    "The Craftsmen"
    http://www.premiumhumidors.com/shop/...atID=2&SubID=5 (scroll down)

    "The Connoisseur"
    http://www.cheaphumidors.com/Merchan..._Code=Preorder

I really like them both, but think I am leaning more towards "the Craftsmen" as it looks like it constructed better. Although I would like to hear thoughts from some BOTL's that own either one!

    Thanks in advance!!

I would go for the 1200 over the 300, simply because I have always heard the larger the better.

I would go for the connoisseur. I personally think the wood grain on it is a lot more attractive.

BTW Brian, go down that page a bit and the Craftsmen is a 1200ct somewhat similar to the connie.

While I agree that The Connoisseur has a nicer colour/grain to it, I think the Craftsman is a berret built piece. It has mouldings and whatnot to make it look like a real piece of furniture instead of just a box. I like it.

    Dustin,

I got your PM and decided to answer it here in case anybody else was also interested in the same thing. I did buy the Connoisseur and have had no problems with it at all. I have about a 1/2 lb of beads in it and it holds RH steady. The seal is good but I could see how it could get compressed and would need to be replaced. Another BOTL from another BB ordered the same one as I did and had to adjust the hinges, the moved in transit. I alos believe someone had the door arrive damaged and Dave sent out another ASAP. The reason I went with this one for for the outlets inside. It is a nice option to have. I have also heard some people complain that this is not solid cedar, it is cedar lined... if you are expecting a solid piece of cedar, ya need to spend alot more money.

I would definitley recommend this humidor (wife doesn't mind it either, it is a nice looking piece of furniture)
I'm not big on doing reviews, tobacco doesn't taste like "cocoa" or "nutty" or "mocha" to me, it tastes like freakin' TOBACCO. I know what I like and I really don't care what other people think of other cigars. I've never read a review and said to myself "Wow, that sounds like a cigar I'd like to try!"

Never owned either one before, but I like the looks of the Craftsman more.

Thanks for the quick response! and thanks to the other BOTL's! Honestly I think they are both good humi's, and looks like it is up to preference in the look, woodgrain, etc. I think I am still leaning towards the Craftsmen just because the wood would match the other furniture in the room it will be in. Ughh such a hard decision!!! lol

Couldn't even get a call back, or an email back in reference to "The Craftsmen" from Premium humidors. anyway Should be here by the end of the week, which is a good thing, my 150ct. desktop is busting at the seems! Already ordered 2 pounds of viper beads, and got a cigar oasis xl plus, I can't wait til it gets here! Thanks guys for your input!!

That is exactly the setup I have. Make sure you have lots of distilled water and sponges to wipe it down with for the first few days. It comes with a heck of an odor (like glue) that is in the wood. And you probably will have to adjust the door for a good seal. But once you get it cleaned out and seasoned you will enjoy it until you outgrow it.

I like this 3000 Cigar Humidor Tower -Oak. The price is not that bad.

Funny thing is..... mine had no odor... and I never wiped down the sides with distilled water... I put a sponge soaked with distilled water inside on a small dish and kept it closed for 24 hrs....

Good luck.... you're gonna love it.....

Hmmm..... I wonder if the fact that it was about 103 degrees the day it was delivered had anything to do with it. The odor lingered for several days. Now it just smells like cigars!
