Thread: Heartfelt Rectangular Bead Humidifier

  1. Thumbs up Heartfelt Rectangular Bead Humidifier

If you have a cheap foam humidifier, throw that puppy away. With my foam humidifier, I was seeing 70-76% humidity. I was also having bad burn problems with my cigars as well.

I decided to make the plunge and bought the rectangular 65% bead humidifier from heartfelt. I've had it up and running now for almost a month, very impressive little device! Not only does it hold the humidity at a stable percentage, but I've noticed the burn problems I've had with my cigars go away as well.

Definitely glad I made the investment on it (little pricey though, if you have the room, buy the tube)....very pleased with it...

    Default A cheaper solution

Well , you could have just removed the florist foam from the plastic box and replaced it with the beads . If the beads fall through the perforated front , place a piece of cheese cloth or a piece of nylon pantyhose on the inside of the face plate . That's what others here have done and recommended . I've done it to round and rectangular humidifier's now .

That requires effort..., I'm lazy and the aluminum humidifier looked awful pertty too .

Definitely a cheaper method though, good point. Did you buy a tube, empty out the beads and put them in your humidifier?

The aluminum box is definitely pretty . I bought a pound , the beads came in a ziplock bag , some went into the plastic humidifier cases and some went into mesh bag's .

that is a cool humidifier. Does it stick to the humidor, or do you just place it in it along with the cigars?

You should be able to find cheese cloth in the cookware section of your grocery store or in a kitchen supply store .
